So, as plants are growing I’m finding myself doing more re-potting, more often. These plant things just seem to surge and get away from you once they’re off, certainly not getting bored these days!
My one and only Orange Wonder plant grew right on the edge of the pot, it’s getting quite big now, definitely time to give it a bigger home!
Definitely the right time to be doing this!
I actually hate the way plant roots look, I don’t know why, just something about them makes me feel queasy.
Probably one of the reasons why I’d invested in some gloves 😉
I squeezed the soil gently to loosen it all up before putting it in another plant pot. Let the roots know they’ve got some room to move now.
Or, that’s what goes off in my head when I’m doing this at least 😉
Re-pot complete – And not a sign of stress or trauma anywhere to be seen – Good!
Next up. One of my Naga plants that was looking to be growing quite a bit as well..
This wasn’t in quite as much need.
I briefly wondered at this point if the leaves where somehow related to the roots.
The Orange Wonder plant seems to have a bigger root system and a lot more leaves, something else I’d need to research I guess.
That’s another thing about doing all this, as with everything else I supposed; You begin to realise just how much you don’t know.
I also took re-potted a Scotch Bonnet plant as well that’s a similar size to the Naga (getting good at this growing plant thing now!). T
These two seemed to get a little stressed. Big hard mean hot Chilli plants indeed!
Not like this little Beauty (well, kind of it is a Scotch Bonnet plant).
Pretty confident that the First Born is going to come out of this all unscathed at this point.
He’s got some new shoots, some leaves look better than others still, but he is still growing and that is the main thing.
As for Stumpy…
Well, he’s the picture of health! I can’t believe this is the same plant from a few weeks ago!
He’s got an annoying habit of dropping leaves. Once again, I’ve tried everything the internet tells me about dropping leaves but nothing seems to work. Just has a mind of it’s own. Certainly the most personality I’ve ever known a plant to have anyway.
He’s even decided to make himself look pretty with a few flowers 😀
Might I find out what kind of Chilli plant I had been nurturing soon??
