So, I’d got my greenhouse. Now to build it.
For some reason it hadn’t really occurred to me that it would be in so many pieces…
Or, that the instructions would be a rough diagram with a vague idea on how to build it up.
I was soon on my way though, I built the first segment pretty quickly, the poles where a tight fit into the connectors which was a bit of a faff, but I managed with some grunting, shoving and body weight.
There was some issues with the build quality…
First the soldering on one of the shelves broke free…
The term “square peg and round hole” came to mind a bit later on…
Was a relatively easy fix though…
Wasn’t long before I had her up in the end 
I had to lie her down to get the cover on, something else I hadn’t thought about was that coming in one piece. I don’t know why these things didn’t occur to me, all makes sense when you put some actual thought into it…
TaDaaaaaaaaaaaaah! I had originally intended to somehow fix it to the back of the garage to stop the wind taking it away one night, however, something else I didn’t think of – How – The guttering at the top stopped me from doing that.
Erm…
A handy, and heavy, metal step to the rescue then!
And of course, the first inhabitant of the newly built Greenhouse, Stumpy.
To introduce Stumpy properly. He’s my first Chilli plant that I bought from Chilli Junkies about a year before, he’s pictured above.
He looked the same then as he does in that picture. Actually, no, he didn’t – He’s got quite a few leaves in that picture, he likes to drop them for no apparent reason, and then grow them back. But he looked the same.
I call him Stumpy because he’s a little stump underneath all those leaves, that’s the one thing that remained constant, he’s not grown up. Literally.
