As part of the update I’ve taken on some new Social Media channels, and dropped one. You can no longer find me on Twitter, or X, or whatever it is these days.
It’s not that I overtly disagree with Elon Musks “Free speech for everyone” policy, or anything like that – What I do disagree with are his ideas that you can’t stop yourself from being a part of it.
Everyone is free to say what they want, to who they want and when they want. Of course they are.
But if I don’t like something someone is saying in real life, I can take certain measures to ensure I don’t have to have that nonsense in my life, whatever the real life equivalent of “blocking” is.
Or, I can pick up my stuff and leave the area entirely.
As Mr Musk has decided that we can’t block stuff and thereby forced to see whatever inane drivel is being spouted by the Bot of the Week for whatever agenda is being promoted this time, I’ve picked up my stuff and left.
