Ladies and Gentlemen… Disaster has struck in the Greenhouse!
I came home to this carnage…
Yes.
That’s right.
My first born Chilli :'(
Assaulted by the Tomato plant 🙁 – A branch had fallen down and hit it, taking it out in the process.
No word of a lie, my heart sank.
I was gutted like you wouldn’t believe.
Silly, right? Just a plant.
Except that it wasn’t.
It was the first thing I’d ever grown from seed.
The first Chilli plant that had grown from all the seeds that I’d originally sewn.
Safe to say that after this my Tomato plants got shown a lesson and cut back, a lot, especially where they where getting loose!
In, what is probably an act of desperation I’ve tied the plant up tight against it’s support.
The stem hadn’t completely snapped, I know plants can be resilient and strong.
Kind of hoping it knits itself back together in an effort to fix itself.
I couldn’t bear the thought of throwing it away without trying something to save it.
Time will tell.
It’s back on the upstairs landing windowsill now, plants seem to do well there…
